Event: What ALL State Legislators Need to Know in Order to Make Obamacare a Success

Tuesday, August 13th, 5:00pm-6:00pm EDT
Georgia World Congress Center, Room B214. Wine and appetizers will be served.

With enrollment in health insurance marketplaces set to begin in October, Progressive States Network and The Commonwealth Fund will engage state legislators in a timely forum on the critical next steps in implementation of the Affordable Care Act.

Join us for a candid discussion about what all state legislators -- whether or not they serve on a health committee -- can do to ensure Obamacare is successful in your state. This discussion will focus on what can be done this fall and during 2014 legislative sessions.

Participants will include:

  • Rachel Nuzum, VP of Federal and State Health Policy, The Commonwealth Fund
  • Dr. Pamela Roshell, Regional Director, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services
  • Sen. Karen Keiser (Washington), Chair, Working Group of State Legislators for Health Reform
  • Rep. Betsy Ritter (Connecticut)

Please RSVP below to save your spot. We look forward to seeing you in Atlanta!

(Supported by The Commonwealth Fund, a national, private foundation based in New York City that supports independent research on health care issues and makes grants to improve health care practice and policy.)
